The The 17th International & 23rd National Congress on Quality Improvement in Clinical Laboratories stands as the country’s largest and most prominent annual gathering in the field of laboratory medicine. Held at the beginning of the Iranian Solar Hijri year and bringing together the latest scientific advances and developments from around the world, the Congress provides a unique platform for laboratory professionals from academic, governmental, and private sectors to come together, exchange knowledge and experience, renew professional relationships, and establish new connections.
Such a valuable opportunity deserves thoughtful planning. Throughout the four days of the Congress, the Congress mobile application and program booklets will serve as essential guides for making the most of your time. A truly rewarding experience begins with a clear understanding of the scientific program—including the themes of the panels and workshops, their dates and times, and the distinguished faculty members presenting at each session.
With 25 scientific panels and approximately 40 workshops, featuring leading Iranian and international experts, the Congress offers an extraordinary breadth of topics and perspectives.
Will you explore the laboratory aspects of geriatric medicine, or focus on laboratory accreditation? Will you examine the challenges of laboratory economics and management, or turn your attention to the laboratory diagnosis of myocardial infarction, tumors, allergic disorders, thrombosis, parasitic diseases, viral infections, and many other conditions?
Will you explore the fascinating relationship between the immune system, reproduction, and disease, or examine strategies for laboratory test utilization and productivity management? Will you delve into the rapidly expanding field of microbiome research, or discover the latest advances in newborn screening?
Perhaps gene therapy will capture your interest, or perhaps you will immerse yourself in the complex world of hematologic malignancies and hemoglobin disorders. You may choose to explore platelet disorders and non-malignant white blood cell disorders, investigate emerging challenges in immunohematology, or discover the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in laboratory medicine.
And among this rich scientific program, do not miss one of the Congress highlights of this year: the First Symposium on Extracellular Vesicles. With distinguished experts and an emerging field of major scientific importance, this symposium promises to be one of the unique features of this year's Congress.
The Congress Poster Exhibition offers yet another opportunity for scientific discovery. Every year, the first floor of the Milad Tower International Convention Center comes alive with research findings, innovative ideas, and professional experiences presented through scientific posters.
Although posters may speak quietly, they often have much to say.
Take the time to walk through the exhibition, explore the presented research, exchange ideas with fellow researchers, and discover perspectives and experiences beyond the formal scientific sessions. The opportunity is certainly worth your time.
The Quality Improvement Congress is not merely a premier scientific gathering. It is also a valuable opportunity to discover the latest technologies, diagnostic solutions, instruments, reagents, and products available in the field of laboratory medicine, presented by leading Iranian and international brands.
The synergy between up-to-date scientific knowledge and the latest technological developments gives the Iran Clinical Lab Expo (ICLE) its distinctive character.
With the participation of approximately 240 reputable companies, ICLE provides a comprehensive platform for laboratory professionals, decision-makers, laboratory managers, and healthcare organizations to explore emerging technologies, compare products and services, and establish direct professional connections with leading companies in the field.
Equally valuable is the opportunity to interact directly with distinguished laboratory medicine experts, experienced laboratory managers, industry specialists, and government officials.
The presence of leading companies alongside a large and diverse professional audience, the wide range of products and technologies on display, a dynamic competitive environment, extensive professional networking, and the opportunity to discover innovative solutions from newly established companies all contribute to making the Congress Exhibition one of the most significant events in Iran's laboratory medicine calendar.
For the first time, a laboratory-inspired interactive installation will be created at the entrance of Milad Tower, offering visitors and passersby an opportunity to experience the world of laboratory medicine in an engaging and accessible way.
Visitors will be able to participate in simple laboratory activities, including blood group testing, and explore microscopic images of blood cells. This hands-on experience will offer a glimpse into the fascinating world of laboratory diagnostics and may inspire visitors to learn more about the vital role laboratories play in modern healthcare.
Before leaving, visitors will also have the opportunity to take a memorable photograph wearing a white laboratory coat alongside distinguished figures from the field of diagnostic medicine—a symbolic and lasting souvenir of their encounter with laboratory science.
Finally, we must not overlook another important tradition of the Congress: the Hakim Jorjani Festival and the ceremony honoring a Distinguished Figure in Laboratory Sciences.
The Festival provides an opportunity to recognize excellence, innovation, dedication, and outstanding achievements across different areas of laboratory medicine.
The Festival categories include:
  1. Outstanding Laboratory Medical Director
  2. Outstanding Laboratory Staff
  3. Outstanding Student Scientific Work
  4. Outstanding Innovator and Technology Developer
  5. Outstanding Book
  6. Outstanding Blood Bank
Although reaching every colleague may require extensive communication—including emails, official correspondence with universities and relevant organizations, text messages, and telephone calls—we believe that recognizing and celebrating excellence is well worth the effort.
We sincerely hope that the active participation of all members of the laboratory medicine community, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, governmental organizations, and industry partners will contribute to making the Quality Improvement Congress an even more successful and memorable event.
Let us come together to share knowledge, celebrate innovation, strengthen professional relationships, and advance the quality of laboratory medicine.
And above all, let us keep alive the memory of our friends, colleagues, and healthcare heroes who stood beside us in previous years and whose dedication and contributions continue to inspire the laboratory medicine community.
